The main function of the pressure regulator is to regulate the pressure of the pumped material to the required working pressure. Unwanted pressure pulsations can occur with material delivered by piston pumps; by regulating the material pressure, these pulsations are reduced. This makes the regulated material pressure much more stable. Piston pressure regulators are designed for materials such as oils, greases, silicones (without fillers).
